Career Support

At J. F. Oberlin University’s Career Development Center (CADAC), career advisors counsel students individually about how to achieve their career objectives. This counseling is designed not simply to raise the employment rate for graduates of the university; rather it is aimed at helping them to play a positive, long-term role in society and to find fulfillment in those roles. From an early stage in the students’ university careers, advisors try to help them answer the question, “What do you really want to do?” while at the same time teaching them about the job-hunting process so that they’ll make good choices. Students who think about their future goals and their strengths early in their university years have a better chance of finding jobs in fields that are suitable for them and to become employees who can help the companies and the industries in which they work.
